Walking for creativity

While we’re on the topic of creative output, I have long been interested in the connection between walking and creativity.

It’s no secret that many of the world’s great thinkers, writers, composers and artists — despite their different routines (get up early vs. nightowl, health freak vs bon vivant, write in cafés vs. locked away in a shed/hotel room/office) — have or had some kind of walking habit.

I’ve just started re-reading “Walking” by the man who writes like he probably walked: meandering. You either like it or hate it.
